History of the HADES Hybrid Muzzle Device.

The HADES Hybrid is the first product designed by PAMAX Tactical and is the primary product that the company was built around. The HADES first concept was conceived in 2017 by (3) year police officer Macson McGuirk and finally submitted for file of patent in February of 2019. HADES was classified as a Hybrid due to it's unique design or rearward pitch. The muzzle device was originally designed specifically for law enforcement as a means to increase accuracy at high rate of fire. Local law enforcment at the time qualified only once a year in a basic qualification course which offered very limited experience handling the AR platform which was carried in each police cruiser. Understanding that local law enforcment were left to hone their shooting skills on their own time and budget, McGuirk set out to attempt to create a device that would increase performance rates regardless of the officers range time.

After almost two years of design tweaking the HADES was born. The Hybrid device had a patented pitch that was designed for a 16inch or longer rifle system. Most law enforcment platorms issued were 16inch carbine AR platforms. The design pitched gas output rearward past the shoulders of the shooter, reducing felt blowback while completely eliminating muzzle sway. Muzzle sway is the movement of the barrel left to right from pressure imbalance when shooting rapidly. With the pitched design eliminating muzzle sway and felt recoil the five vertical ports eliminated the muzzle rise while a specifically designed flash chamber assisted with burning off unburnt powder before leaving the device. This offered the added benefit of a low flash signiture.

Early production was successful and results were very promising. The design was released for sale to the public after realizing that sale to law enforcment agencies was difficult due to departments lacking budgets for such upgrades.

The HADES was manufactured by PAMAX Tactical LLC in the united states out of US sourced 416 stainless steel. The product was offered in a black parkerized coating, raw stainless, and a unique satin finish.

Production was so successful that within 2019 variants suitable for calibers up to a .425 bore were manufactured in various calibers including a dedicated AK47 HADES Muzzle Device. An improved design was slotted for release in 2020 for pistol length platforms as well as big bore .458 calibers while featuring a new side porting which reduced felt gas blowback.
